Amira & Friends is an animated education program reaching out-of-school children aged 3–7 across rural Nigeria — building numeracy, comprehension and confidence in the languages they speak at home.

Amira & Friends is a programme created to bridge the educational gap faced by out-of-school children in various knowledge areas, including numeracy, comprehension, cognitive development, communication, and financial literacy. The program is animated to appeal to children aged between 3 and 7.
Over 9,681 children reached across 9 states.
During the last two years, over 9,681 children across 9 states were reached. To make the program more inclusive, the curriculum is available on YouTube in five languages — English, Pidgin, Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba — with educational materials provided to aid learning. This year, comic books will also be shared with kids across Ekiti, Gombe and Ondo state.
Nigeria has the largest out-of-school population in the world.

Amira lives in a rural Nigerian community. Through animated songs, stories and friends, children pick up numeracy, comprehension and confidence — then keep learning with story books and colouring after every screening.
